Starting from the research on interactions between the human and media in 1997, Center for Artificial Intelligence has been conducting research on advanced and original technologies in areas including virtual reality and augmented reality, ubiquitous computing, multimodal interaction, nondestuctive testing using electromagnetic wave, 3D stereoscopic video, machine learning and AI.
Based on the outstanding research capabilities, Center for Artificial Intelligence has implemented large government R&D projects such as Global Frontier Project in 2010, Giga Korea Project in 2018, Advanced Integrated Intelligence for Identification (AIID) Development Project in 2018 and AI-based Fault Detection, Analysis and Diagnosis Technology for Power Plant Project in 2018 and provided future directions on technology development to the academia and industry.
