Center for Healthcare Robotics

The desire to live longer and stay healthy is increasing along with the emergence of super-aged society and economic abundance. In order to meet such demand, the Center for Healthcare Robotics of KIST is committed to developing more efficient and safer digital medical solutions based on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality and augmented reality (3D/VR/AR), robotics (Soft robot, Cobot, Microsurgery robot), etc.

Over the past 10 years, the Center has developed VR/AR surgical navigation systems, catheter operating robots for interventional surgery, microsurgery robots, etc. and secured core technologies related to medical information and medical robots. Based on the technical know-how and expertise amassed, it plans to continue to develop robotic and digital surgery systems with medical intelligence, contributing to improving human health.
